Goth boots
The Goth subculture started as a stand against the extravagant and colorful fashion of the 70s. That included everything from makeup styles to the dresses and even to footwear. Goth shoes are usually designed with Gothic symbols and dark colors. Goth boots in particular are usually high and black. They come in all shapes and designs and they usually have a lot of metal on them.
They come in black, grey or in brown and red with a mixture of black. The soles can be flat or with heels or even platformed. For women there are also thigh high boots, with a variety of designs. The heels and platforms can be anywhere between 2 to 8 inches. The boots have chains, handcuffs, other metal designs, laces and zippers. Some of them have Goth symbols like flames, scorpions or other designs drawn into them. What marks them as Goth boots is the style in which they are presented - dark, Victorian style with symbols and a lot of metal.
